Chess Tree (TM) - version 1.2.0 September, 1997 _______ ____|__ | (R) --| | |------------------- | ____|__ | Association of | | |_| Shareware |__| o | Professionals -----| | |--------------------- |___|___| MEMBER THANK YOU --------- Thank you for trying Chess Tree! Chess Tree is an exciting, innovative, new approach to chess study. Select any node along a play tree, and instantly see the board position. Study standard openings, great chess matches, and more! Import any SAN or PGN formatted text file to create your own libraries. Setup a board position and search for a match anywhere in the library. FEATURES ======== Chess Tree displays an explorer-type of tree. Each node on the tree represents a different chess position. This makes position study extremely intuitive and simple. Importing --------- Import games in Standard Algebraic Notation (SAN) or Portable Game Notation (PGN). Create libraries and exchange them with your friends, other chess clubs, etc. Import tournaments and games that you've participated in or that you would like to study. Insert comments for any of the games or moves. The possibilities are endless! Search The Tree --------- Graphically setup a board position and then search for a match. Use a position in one library to search for a position in another loaded library. If a match is found, Chess Tree goes to that position enabling you to study the preceding moves and the variations that follow that position on the tree. Chess Tree Libraries -------------------- Chess Tree comes with an extensive, commented "Standard Openings" library and a BONUS library containing the complete Fischer-Spassky match of 1992.
